About me
UX Researcher | UI Designer | Experience Architect
I am a multi-disciplinary UX professional who treats every interface as an experience and every user journey as a meticulously planned architectural flow. With a background spanning Graphic Design, Multimedia Management, and Human-Centered Design, I bridge the gap between deep user research and high-fidelity visual execution.
With a foundation in graphic design, I bring strong visual thinking and attention to detail into my UX work. You can explore some of my earlier visual design projects here → [Behance]
Experience: 8+ years of design expertise, including over 3 years leading end-to-end UX projects for the Government of Canada.
Education: Post-graduate certificates in Human-Centered Design and Interactive Media Management, and a B.Des in Graphics.
The "X-Factor": Certified International Event Decorator & Professional Organizer. A unique background that shapes how I approach UX: designing and orchestrating seamless experiences, both in physical environments and digital products.
My Path into Experience Design
Foundations in Visual Communication
My design journey began with a deep foundation in graphic design, where I developed strong skills in visual communication, composition, and design thinking. For several years as a Senior Graphic Designer, I collaborated with marketing and product teams to bring digital and print campaigns to life. This experience strengthened my ability to translate ideas into clear visual systems and taught me how thoughtful design can effectively communicate complex messages.
Empathy in the Real World
While pursuing my postgraduate studies in Human-Centered Design and Interactive Media Management, I worked in customer service at Walmart. What seemed like a service role quickly became an unexpected introduction to real-world user research. Interacting with diverse customers every day exposed me to real frustrations, expectations, and behaviors. It taught me to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and understand the deeper reasons behind user pain points—an approach that continues to shape my design practice today.
From Complex Workflows to User Wins
I later transitioned into UX and spent nearly four years with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (Government of Canada) as a Business Analyst (UX). In this role, I worked on improving internal digital systems by mapping complex workflows, identifying usability challenges, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. I helped ensure accessibility and usability were considered throughout the design process and aligned user needs with organizational goals. This experience strengthened my ability to work within large systems, translate insights into actionable solutions, and advocate for user-centered thinking across teams.
Designing Beyond the Screens
My passion for experience design extends beyond digital products. As a Certified International Event Decorator and Professional Organizer, I design physical environments and event experiences. Whether digital or physical, my focus remains the same: understanding people and creating seamless experiences.
